The blank magnet tiles can be used for teacher-created tiles for less common vowel graphemes such as:

“al” for /aw/ in words like: chalk, talk, walk

“augh” in caught, taught,

“oul” for /oo/ sound in would, should and could

“ough” for /ow/ /oe/ /oo/ /aw/ in drought, dough, through, thought

They could be used for teacher-created tiles for less common consonant spellings like:

”bb” for /b/ in ribbon, rubber, bobbin, hobbit, rabbit

”gg” for /g/ in haggle, giggle, goggles, hugging

”nn” for /n/ in sunny, funny, running

“ve” for /v/ in serve, love, have

“me” for /m/ in some, come

“ne” for /n/ in none

“se” for /s/ or /z/ in house, choose, lose, moose

“le”  for /u +l/ in settle,

“ce” for /s/ in since, mince, rinse
